Surface Preparation
- The damaged concrete was taken back to a sound edge using a pneumatic jackhammer. The surface was then lightly blasted and vacuumed to remove any loose material, creating a clean and stable substrate for the repair.
Concrete Rebuild with UPS 813 EQS EPOZY QUARTZ SCREED
- The prepared area was primed with UPS 909 PP. While the primer was still wet, 8-10mm of UPS 813EQS was mixed and applied. The screed was levelled off with trowels to ensure a smooth and even surface.
Protective Coating with UPS 882 EFC EPOXY FLOOR COATING
- Once the screed had cured, the surface was protected with two coats of UPS 882 EFC, applied by roller at a nominal wet film thickness of 250 microns per coat. This final coating provided a durable and resistant surface, ensuring long-term protection against further damage.
