Surface Preparation
- The steel substrate of the pipe fittings was abrasive blast cleaned to achieve a surface cleanliness level of SA 2.5 with a 75-micron profile, in accordance with ISO8501/4 Standard (SSPC SP10/NACE 2). This step ensured that the coating would adhere effectively to the surface.
Application of UPS 225 HT HIGH TEMPERATURE CERAMIC
- All weld joints on the fittings were first stripe coated for additional protection. Then, the entire surface of the pipe fittings was coated with two layers of UPS 225 HT. The coating was applied by brush at a thickness of 500 microns per coat, providing a robust protective barrier against both high temperatures and water exposure.
The application of UPS 225 HT successfully protected the pipe fittings from potential corrosion and wear. The coating provided a durable, long-lasting solution, ensuring the fittings would remain reliable and operational under challenging conditions.
