SurfacePreparation
- The substrate was abraded to ISO 8501/4 ST3 (SSPC SP3 ST3) standards using mechanical grinders.This preparation ensured that the coating would adhere properly to the pipe surface.

- UPS 554 TC 140 was applied by brush in multiple coats over a single day. The application continued until a total dry film thickness of 10mm was achieved, ensuring effective insulation and temperature reduction.
Temperature Reduction
- After the coating was cured, the surface temperature of the pipe was measured and recorded, showing a significant reduction in temperature, thus minimising the risk of burns and injuries to operatives.
