Surface Preparation
- The steel surface of the pipe bends was prepared by abrasive blasting to ISO 8501/4 SA 2.5 (SSPCSP10 / NACE 2) standards, achieving a minimum angular blast profile of 75 microns. This preparation was essential to ensure optimal adhesion of the protective coating.
Application of UPS 405 EPC-AG EPOXY PROTECTIVE COATING – ABRASION GRADE
- UPS 405 EPC-AG was applied in two coats to the prepared surface. Each coat was applied at a nominal thickness of 350 microns, providing robust protection against the abrasive nature of the wastewater.
