Surface Preparation
- The internal surfaces of the 100mm pipe sections were abrasive blast cleaned to achieve a minimum profile depth of 50 microns. This preparation was essential to ensure that the protective coating would bond effectively to the substrate.
Application of UPS 405 EPOXY PROTECTIVE COATING – EXTENDED LIFE
- UPS 405 EPC-XL was applied to the internal surfaces of the pipes using high-pressure air. The coating was evenly distributed across the surface, and a rotating circular brush was used to smooth the finish.
- Once the first coat had cured sufficiently, a second coat was applied to ensure complete coverage and maximum protection against corrosion.
